MAB / ACQUISITION INTEGRATION
An operating move.
A controlled transition.
Coordinating operational integration and cutover across acquired mortgage businesses.
Coordinating an operational integration in a mortgage group
Mortgage Advice Bureau was bringing acquired mortgage businesses into a receiving organisation while continuing to serve customers and support advisers.
The transition involved operational processes, systems, devices, user access and communications, alongside supplier and organisational dependencies. Business and technical teams needed a common view of what had to be ready for the move.
Our contribution
We led cross-functional integration coordination and readiness discussions. The work required practical follow-up across teams, with attention to whether users could operate, how issues would be escalated and who would provide support during cutover.
The plan also needed to recognise the distinction between the immediate operating move and the wider integration work that would continue afterwards.
The operational outcome
The main cutover completed over the transition weekend, and the subsequent handover recorded teams working in the receiving environment with business continuity maintained.
The first days included ordinary stabilisation activity and follow-up actions. Residual data, supplier and wider integration work required continued ownership, alongside a clear decision about what belonged in later phases.
The delivery lesson
A successful operational move provides an important foundation. Completing the wider integration requires continued attention to acceptance, residual work and the operating model the business wants to achieve.
This experience informs Leanpro’s integration support, from preparing the practical transition through to managing a controlled handover of what remains.
